REAL STORIES: A Glamorous Winter Wedding for Eve & Richard

Before we say “hello” to Spring, we thought we would share Eve and Richard’s sexy, icy-cool Winter wedding.   Someone just mentioned the other day how incredibly moving second weddings are and we couldn’t agree more!  Eve and Richard wanted to share their passionate commitment to each other with an elegant Jewish ceremony followed by a sophisticated, cocktail-style celebration.   The party called for quite a bit of sparkle and tons of all-out glamour dramatically transposed against the crisp modern lines of Trust.

As they traveled from the Four Seasons across town to Trust, in Old City, Eve and Richard were candidly photographed enjoying each other and their incredible day.  Marie Labbancz doesn’t miss a beat when documenting the day through her fine-art inspired photographs.  Simple details like these fabulous rhinestone mesh Jimmy Choos don’t escape her sharp eye!  (or ours, for that matter!)

Family and friends were asked to gather around the simple Chuppah as Eve and Richard walked together, hand-in-hand to take their places underneath it.  Their children, siblings and parents served as symbolic Chuppah holders for the duration of the service.  Once the ceremony was over, the Chuppah was quickly removed to make way for dancing.

Both floors of Trust were filled with glittering sequins, lucite chairs, white velvet, polished chrome and mercury glass.  Contemporary mirrored accents were nestled amongst traditional crystal candle sticks and lush white floral arrangements.   Inspired by the couple’s black and white invitation from The Papery, black elements were subtley interjected in pillows, wingback chairs, cocktail napkins and side tables.   The black chandelier design from the wedding invitation was used as a repeating pattern on the simple stacked wedding cake from Classic Cake, as well as on the existing large plasma screen on the wall.

All tones of blue, from pale ice to deep ocean, were used to light the walls, ceiling, chandelier, white drape and floors throughout the venue.   Even the large white and crystal bar was lit in blue for a splash of color.

Long bar-height community tables were placed on the balcony which provided seating with an incredible view of the rest of the party down below.

The talented Peachtree & Ward provided the catering for the wedding, including clever little one-bite hors d’oeuvres, passed small tapas plates and multiple food stations.  A marble cheese cart was rolled throughout the party complete with paired wines and ports.

Elan Artists provided a statuesque violinst who played romantic tunes for the ceremony, but then plugged in for a modern electrified sound for cocktails.   A club-style DJ placed strategically behind the drape spun classic favorites mixed with contemporary dance hits.  What a beautifully chic wedding celebration!  We wish Eve and Richard, as well as their families, many years of happiness!

Thank you Marie Labbancz for the gorgeous photos!
